Eligibility/Prerequisites

Staff and faculty with staff/faculty emails can request this service. Purchase requests through student emails will be asked to resubmit using a staff account.

To request hardware, you will need an index, fund code, and your unit’s fiscal contact’s email address.

Off campus hardware requests require the location for shipment. Off-campus offices and Research & Extension centers are listed if such an office suffices; otherwise a full address will be required.

 

Charges/Cost

Index(es) and fund code(s) are required to complete purchase, but this is only to cover the purchase cost of the requested hardware, at exactly the price of the outside vendor.

There is no surcharge or extra cost levied by OIT Procurement for this service.

Other Information

  • OIT carries standard items in stock that have been approved by the TSPs for assured support and quick delivery time.
  • There is a 4-6+ week lead time on hardware that is nonstandard and not kept in stock.
  • Computers being purchased with funding that do NOT come from a sponsored program require a 4-year warranty with support services. Purchases using funds from a sponsored program will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
