How do I install Sophos Home?

Overview

Sophos Home Premium is available to U of I affiliates for personal use while the university maintains licensing with Sophos. This software is NOT to be used on university managed equipment.

1 Follow Link

The process for installing Sophos Home Premium can be started here.

Enter your university email address into the box below. You can use your personal email to sign up later.

2 Click the Create Account Button

In the email sent to your university address, click the 'Create Account' button.

3 Create an Account

Enter your first & last name, email, and new password, then select 'Create Account'.

4 Verify Your Account

You will receive a confirmation message at your chosen email address. Once you've verified your account's creation through this message, the provided link will return you to the login page

 

5 Download The Installation File

Once you have logged in, select 'Download'. This will download an install file to your downloads folder.

6 Run The Installer

Open the SophosInstall file from your downloads folder and follow the steps provided. Installation will then begin.

You may be asked to log in in order to install the software. If so, you will need to log in with your device's administrator information.
