Overview
The AirVandal Device Access card helps students and employees register personal entertainment or smart devices (like consoles and streaming sticks) to the AirVandal Wi-Fi network.

- Click “Register a Device” to open the AirVandal Setup portal: help.uidaho.edu
- On the registration form, you’ll be asked to enter:
- Username (your NetID)
- Password
- Device MAC address (unique code found in device settings)
- Email (auto-filled with your U of I address)
- Choose whether your device is:
- Wireless (e.g., Smart TV, Apple TV, Fire Stick, Xbox, PS4)
- Wired (for Ethernet-connected devices)
- Optional checkbox for devices with NAT errors (mostly for advanced gaming setups)
What You’ll See After Clicking
- A simple AirVandal Setup form appears with labeled fields to complete the registration.
- After registering, your device will be allowed to connect to the AirVandal network.
Additional Information
- This card is specifically for devices that don’t support web login, such as:
- Smart TVs
- Gaming consoles
- Streaming devices (e.g., Roku, Fire Stick)
- Laptops, phones, and tablets should use the regular AirVandalGold network and authenticate normally.
- Be sure to enter the correct MAC address, or your device won’t connect.
- The AirVandal network is separate from AirVandalGold and is designed for personal entertainment and media devices only.
