Why was my Microsoft 365 application "Approval Required" request denied?

Overview

The University of Idaho automatically blocks all applications which request permissions to access Microsoft 365 services. This is done to enforce identity and security policies. An "approval request" may be submitted for review and it is possible the request may be denied.

These approval requests are part of the "consent" process required for applications to gain access to your user account information. For example, you have to approve consent for an application to be able to access your OneDrive files on your behalf.

Examples
