The following is a list of media equipped general classroom spaces on the Moscow campus, listed with the specific technology installed in the space by room type. For instructions on how to use the technology in each space, see the linked articles next to each classroom type below. All classroom scheduling is handled by the Registrar’s Office Classroom Scheduling group. 

Students requiring assistive technology should contact the Center for Disability Access and Resources (CDAR) for help with assistive listening and other assistive technology options.

Multimedia w/ Dual Projection

These classrooms operate the same as other multimedia classrooms except they have two displays/screens so the instructor can choose to have different content on each.  See this article (link) for specific instructions.

Video Conferencing

These rooms were specifically designed for teaching students attending at a distance from a classroom on another UI campus. The control panel allows you to connect to the Zoom meeting and to rooms on other campuses, and share the PC, doc cam, or an external device. There are also ceiling mics to improve audio and front and rear facing cameras to capture instructor and attendees.

Enhanced Multimedia

Beyond the typical equipment, these systems also include a ceiling microphone and two monitors (one traditional and one touch monitor) on the lectern to support the use of Zoom. The touch monitor improves the use of Zoom Whiteboard and Zoom or PowerPoint annotation while the second monitor allows for pulling Zoom chat onto a separate screen for easier monitoring or utilizing for preparing content. Only the content on the touch monitor can be shared.

These systems enable the instructor to easily teach. If you want to use your own device in these rooms, connect using the provided HDMI cable. launch a Zoom meeting from the lectern computer and connect your device to the same meeting. or use http://zoom.us/share to share content from your device.

These rooms have limited technology - a large wall-mounted display and HDMI cable to connect to your own device.

TEAL (Technology Enhanced Active Learning)

This is the only General University Classroom of its type with the ability to connect a device to any table, or the lectern, with HDMI or by mirroring/casting. Each of the five tables has a touch panel, PC, and doc cam while the lectern includes all typical classroom technologies. The lectern touch panel allows for advanced switching so that any table content can be sent to any display.
