How to connect Playstation 4 (Pro) to AirVandalGuest?

~First: Find MAC WiFi Address 

 

  1. Turn on your Playstation 4 without any disk in the drive and wait for the menu to pop up 

  2. Navigate to the Settings icon (located on the far left)

  1. Select the System icon under the Settings menu

  1. Select System Information 

  1. You will see your MAC address listed on this screen, containing letters and numbers in the format xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx. 

~Second: Now go to https://help.uidaho.edu/avsetup/  

Fill in the website info  

a.       NetID: beginning of email  

b.      NetID password: U of I password  

c.       The device WiFi  MAC address   

d.      Your vandal email  

e.       Select wireless device  

f.        Check the box for network agreement  

g.      Wait 15 minutes  

~Third: Connect Device 

  1. From the PS4 home screen, go to [Settings] > [Network] > [Set Up Internet Connection]. 

This image indicates to select set up internet connection under network.

 

 

  1. Select [Use Wi-Fi]. 

 

 

  1. Select how you want to set up your connection: [Easy] 

 

 

  1. Let it find your available networks in your area. This might take a while to show up your network connection. Select the network connection (SSID) that you want to use for your PS4. (AirVandalGuest) 

 

  1. When prompted for your password, enter a valid password and select the DONE button. (Password: GoVandals!) 

  2. Then hit "Test internet Connection" to finish setup  

 

  1. Now your all good have fun! 

    1. *Note: Make sure to retest your wifi connection every once in a while to make sure your console is up to date and that the wifi is good.
