Why do I see "More information required" during sign-in?

Overview

When you first sign-in to your University of Idaho account you may see this wording:

More information required
Your organization needs more information to keep your account secure

This message is displayed to enroll with Microsoft's Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) or Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Once enrolled, you will be able to reset your password from the sign-in page by selecting "Can't access your account?" or "Forgot your password". The enrollment process will require you to enroll a mobile app, phone number or email address.

 

Enrollment Steps

This is the initial setup screen. The default screen displays the Microsoft Authenticator app, this can be switched using the link "I want to set up a different method".

Note: You must setup at least two authentication methods.

Once you have setup all authentication methods click on "Done" to continue sign-in.

Note: If you select the option to verify your email address, you will receive an email message from Microsoft with an email verification code:
