This article shows you how to access your OneDrive or SharePoint files directly from Microsoft Office 365 program, such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

Accessing Files from OneDrive or SharePoint

To open a file saved in your OneDrive or SharePoint from an Office 365 program, follow the steps below.

 

1 Open Your Office Program

 Open the Office 365 program you want to use (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Open Word Application

 

2 Click File

Click File in the top-left corner of the screen.

 

Select File Option

 

3 Select Open

Select Open from the side menu.

 

Select Open

 4Choose OneDrive or SharePoint

Choose OneDrive (for personal or school files) or Sites –SharePoint (for shared team files).

A list of recent and available files will appear, browse and click on the file you want to open.
