Opening Adobe Creative Cloud Applications for the First Time on Computer Lab or Classroom Computers

Overview:


Adobe changed licensing for computers multiple people use such as in computer labs and classrooms called Shared Device license in 8/2019. At the same time it changed the how users log into Creative Cloud applications for the first time on each computer in those areas. Note, there are other areas or computers that are setup with Shared Device license. This knowledge base article is only for computers with Shared Device license.

Each time you use a different computer in a computer lab or classroom, you will need to authenticate with Adobe Creative Cloud via University of Idaho's Single Sign-On (SSO) and using DUO. This article steps you through the process.

 

Steps:


Step 1. Open the desired Adobe Creative Cloud Application from the Start Menu. (Do not click on the Adobe Creative Cloud icon on the desktop)

Step 2.  Enter your email address (students = jvand1234@vandal.uidaho.edu; faculty/staff = jvandal@uidaho.edu). Click on Sign in with an Enterprise ID

Step 3. You will be redirected to University of Idaho sign in. Enter your email address and password

Step 4. You will be asked to use DUO to as a second factor to identify who you are. How you do this depends on how you set up DUO multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Your Adobe Creative Cloud application will open.
