Enterprise Application Service Request

Requirements

When requesting access to a TDX module certain information must be provided and confirmed, before any access will be provided.

  1. Some kind of FERPA training must be completed
    1. This is required, regardless of the usage of TDX, due to the information (specifically including student information) provided by the TDX Person module, which is available to all technicians without any ability to restrict it.
    2. If access to the IT Tickets module is required, then OIT specific FERPA training must be completed
    3. Otherwise a confirmation from your manager that you have viewed the FERPA training available on the MyUI Employee card is sufficient
  2. Confirmation from one of the Module Administrators.
    1. These are usually managers or directors, as well as a handful of delegated individuals. These are all case-by-case please work with your department/team to determine who should be submitting requests for new employees being granted access to a module
  3. EITHER: An individual on your team from whom the permissions should be copied
    1. OR: which Role(s) in which Module(s) you need access to

Process

Unfortunately, Module Administrators are currently unable to add users to their modules. So a request must be submitted to OIT using the Enterprise Application Service Request form.

  • If the request is not submitted by a Module Administrator then they will be contacted to verify access can be granted.
  • FERPA training must be confirmed prior to any access being granted.
  • OIT will add the requested permissions to the individual
    • Note: Only requested permissions are added, as a result it is always recommended to test once permissions activate to make sure nothing was missed
  • Permissions can take up to a couple of hours to propagate/activate in the system
