As part of the GEER grant, the University of Idaho has secured a license to use TechSmith’s Camtasia and SnagIt software for both Windows and MacOS computers for the next 3 years starting 1/25/2021. Camtasia is an easy to use screen recorder and video editing software. SnagIt is a screen capture tool which works directly with Camtasia. This software can only be used for the creation of instructional material for courses. All faculty and staff who assist in the creation of instructional material for courses, can install the software on their UI owned computers via Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (MacOS). All ITS managed instructor stations in classrooms will have this software installed for use.
