How do I clear my browser cache on Google Chrome?

Overview

This tutorial will assist you in clearing your browser cache. Your browser's cache is a collection of data saved to your local machine. It is used to load websites faster. However, some websites are updated continuously, which renders that saved data obsolete. This can results in errors, such as 'Error 404: Page Not Found'. Clearing your browser cache or accessing the website in a Private Window will correct these errors.

 

Instructions

Step 1

Click the Open Menu icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Click on the three-dot icon in the top right hand corner of your browser window.

Step 2

Select More Tools from the menu to reveal additional options, then click Clear Browsing Data.

or press control shift delete.

Step 3

Set the time range to All time and check both the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files boxes, then click Clear data

The other boxes can remain unchecked.
