Request Assistance from the Office of Technology Transfer
The University of Idaho Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) helps the university research community identify, protect and commercialize intellectual property and coordinate confidentiality and material transfer agreements.
Use the Minuet portals below for new invention disclosures and agreement requests. For other questions or assistance, contact ott@uidaho.edu.
Submit an invention disclosure
Use the Invention Disclosure Portal to report a potentially protectable invention or discovery to OTT.
Please submit your disclosure before any planned public disclosure, such as a publication, conference presentation, thesis or dissertation release, or online posting. Identify any upcoming disclosure dates or other time-sensitive deadlines in your submission.
OTT will first review your submission for completeness. Once the disclosure is accepted, OTT will provide a technology reference number for use in future communications and proceed with evaluation.
Submit an Invention Disclosure
Request a confidentiality or material transfer agreement
Use the Minuet Agreement Request Portal for:
- Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs): Agreements addressing the exchange of confidential information with an external party.
- Incoming material transfer agreements (MTAs): Agreements for receiving research materials from an external party.
- Outgoing material transfer agreements (MTAs): Agreements for providing University of Idaho research materials to an external party.
When completing your request, provide the other party’s contact information, a description of the proposed activity, any available agreement draft or supporting documents, and relevant deadlines.
Submitting a request does not mean an agreement has been approved or signed. Contact OTT before exchanging confidential information or transferring materials that require an agreement.

For an existing matter, include the technology reference number, agreement number or previous TDX ticket number, if available.

Portal access and existing requests
Portal access: Follow the sign-in instructions on the relevant portal. New users can select Request Account on the portal’s login page. Contact ott@uidaho.edu for assistance accessing a portal or submitting a request.
Existing TDX requests: For questions about a request previously submitted through the OTT ticketing system, email ott@uidaho.edu with your ticket number. OTT will advise on next steps and whether any action is needed in Minuet.
