Overview
This guide will walk you through how to activate your one year free trial of Google Gemini access.
IMPORTANT:
- Free student access is only available until Monday, October 6th, 2025. After that date, you will not be able to claim the offer.
- If you currently have an active Google Gemini account, you may still use this year trial, but your current account will need to be closed first and then reactivated with this offer.
Sign Up For Free
Navigate to grow.google/students to begin the process.
Once there, select 'Sign up for free', and sign in with your personal Gmail/Google account. If you don't already have one, instructions can be found here.
Verify Eligibility
Select 'Verify Eligibility', then fill out the Verify your student status page with your information.
Make sure to use your university email address when prompted.
Get Student Offer
You will be shown a similar page to step 2. Select 'Get student offer'.
Enter Credit Card Information
To complete activation, you’ll be asked to input your credit card information. This is required, even for the yearlong free student trial.
You will not be charged until your year of free access has ended, but auto-renewal is applied by default.
Once you have entered your information, click 'Continue'.
Click “Go to Gemini”
You’re now ready to use Google Gemini! Click 'Go to Gemini' to launch the application.
