How to add a Yubikey as a New Device in Duo

Duo Enrollment Process

1. On a device with a port that accepts your Yubikey, open an new browser window and navigate to help.uidaho.edu
2. Login using your University username and password.
3. Once prompted by Duo for authentication select "Add new device"
4. Generate a Duo bypass code through Duo Admin, and insert it in the space provided.
5. Select "Security Key" and then "Continue"
6. A new window will pop up, followed by a Windows option window. In the Windows Option window select "Security Key"
7. Click OK to the next 2 popups, then insert Yubikey into computer when prompted. When asked to "Touch your security key", gently tap the green light on the copper color portion. This will save the Yubikey, clkick ok to "Passkey Saved"
8. Allow the permission
9. The Yubikey is now ready to use.

Use Instructions

1. Navigate to any University service (help.uidaho.edu is used in this example)
2. Login as normal with username and password
3. When prompted for a Duo authentication, select the "Device" drop down menu and select "Security Key". In other formats of screen you will need to click "Other Options" and then Select "Security Key"
4. Click "Use Security Key"
5. Insert Key, touch when prompted.
