Overview
These are the options available to create a new password or reset a forgotten password. This page is linked from "Can't access your account?" and "Password reset?" on the SSO sign-in page.

Password Reset Instructions
New Students
An @vandals.uidaho.edu student account is automatically created for new students.
If you are a new student, and need to create a new password for your account, please follow the instructions at VandalSetup: https://vandalsetup.uidaho.edu/
Students
If you have already created a password for your @vandals.uidaho.edu account, there are two options for resetting a forgotten password.
New Employees
An @uidaho.edu account is automatically created for new employees during the hiring process. Your supervisor will also provide instructions to set a password on your new account.
- Use the help.uidaho.edu password reset feature: https://help.uidaho.edu/security/reset/
- Enter your Vandal ID, or your personal email address in the lookup process to find your account.
- Once you have set your password, create a "Security Profile" to allow access to reset a forgotten password.
Employees
Employees must reset a forgotten @uidaho.edu account password on the help.uidaho.edu account management site.
Alumni and Retirees
All alumni and retirees, using the @alumni.uidaho.edu and @gold.uidaho.edu domains, must reset a forgotten password using Microsoft Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR).
