How to access on-premises "S: Drive" from home?

Overview

The on-premises file services cluster, which provides access to the U: and S: drives, is available using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client when connecting from a non-university network device.

Note: This article does not apply to the SharePoint Online cloud based storage at https://storage.uidaho.edu/

To access the on-premises U:\ and S:\ drives from off campus, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client must be installed and activated. Click the link above to learn more. Instructions on how to install and run the vpn can be found here:

If you do not have permission to download and run the VPN, you can send a request to ITS for access. Contact your TSP or Sysad as an employee, or the Student Technology Center. If you are able to download the software, you should also be able to use it. Once you have access to the Vandal VPN group, install and run the program.
