Request Mail-Enabled Group

Overview:

Learn about and request Moderated or Non-Moderated Mail-Enabled Groups.


Option #1 – Moderated Email Groups

For quick and simple email lists, a moderated email group may be the best solution. This is created with a simple @uidaho.edu e-mail address. The owner of the group will control the list membership through the Account Management webpage (https://help.uidaho.edu) under ‘Manage Groups.’ It is very simple and easy to maintain and provides the ability to moderate messages for sender filtering. 

Request a moderated email group using the Submit Request button. 

Make sure to provide the following information in your request: 

  • Department Requesting the group.
  • A brief description of why you need it.
  • What the group will be named. The required naming convention is to use department prefix's before the name.
    • Ex. prefix-emailgroupname, oit-tspsupport
  • Confirmation from whoever will be the owner and their @uidaho.edu email address.
  • Confirmation of who will be moderators of the mail group @uidaho.edu email address.

Option #2 – Email Groups
