Whether you're brand new to ClickUp or looking to sharpen specific skills, there are several ways to get trained — from self-paced courses to searchable help articles. This guide walks through the main training paths and where to find them.
1. Start Here: Getting Started Guides
If you just got access to ClickUp, start with these foundational articles before diving into a course:
2. ClickUp University
ClickUp University is ClickUp's official training platform. It includes self-paced courses, learning paths, hands-on activities, quizzes, and certificates.
Recommended starting points:
- ClickUp for Beginners (learning path) – the recommended starting point for anyone new to the tool; covers navigation, tasks, and workspace structure, and ends with a Novice Certificate
- Course Catalog – browse all available courses and learning paths by topic, including admin setup, workflows, AI features (ClickUp Brain), and role-specific tracks (marketing, guests, admins)
- Certificates Page – see which learning paths lead to a certificate of completion
Learning paths typically take 2–5 short courses to complete and include knowledge checks along the way, so they're well suited to independent learning during downtime.
3. ClickUp Help Center (searchable documentation)
help.clickup.com is the searchable reference library for every feature in ClickUp. Use it when you have a specific "how do I…" question rather than wanting a structured course.
- Organized by topic (Getting Started, Views, Automations, Integrations, AI, Security, etc.)
- Updated weekly as ClickUp ships new features
- Includes short video walkthroughs for many articles
4. Live Support and 1:1 Help
If self-paced resources don't answer your question:
- In-app chatbot – click Get help in the lower-right corner of ClickUp to open a support ticket or live chat
- ClickUp Support Resources – explains all available support channels and what's included on each plan
