Conference and Kitchen Microphone Controls

On the touch panel, you will have control over the kitchen, conference, and handheld microphones. This includes the "Mute All Microphones", "Kitchen Mic Muted", "Conference Mic Muted", and the handheld microphone mute. Please note that the kitchen microphone will be muted on startup and shutdown; to use this, it will need to be unmuted by pressing the "Kitchen Mic Muted" button.

  • "Mute All Mics": This button can be treated as an "emergency" microphone shutoff. When pressing this, all of your microphones on Zoom and Voice Reinforcement will be muted. Once pressed, all microphone buttons will turn red to indicate they are muted. To unmute, you can press and unmute individual mics as needed.

  • Individual Mic Mutes: This includes the Conference, Kitchen, and Handheld Microphone mutes circled in the picture below. These buttons will control your individual device mutes. By default, on startup, the Kitchen microphone will be muted, but can be unmuted as needed for larger events/meetings.

The Handheld microphone will be unmuted by default to allow for the handheld microphone to be used for Zoom and Voice Reinforcement by simply powering on the handheld itself.

(Individual Microphone Mutes. These three buttons will mute and unmute the microphones in the space.)

Voice Reinforcement

The Prairie Conference room has two voice reinforcement options to use. This will allow for some extra volume in the space via the ceiling microphone or handheld microphone. The ceiling voice lift, however, will only be looking for and picking up users in the conference room space itself, but will project over both the kitchen and conference speakers, depending on mute states.

The options below will allow you to switch between the "Ceiling Voice Lift" and the "Handheld Voice Lift". The handheld voice lift is adjustable as needed via the "Handheld Microphone" volume slider, which allows for a good range for soft-spoken users. Please note that only one of these two may be enabled at a time. (Pictured below)

The Ceiling Voice lift will provide a subtle but noticeable lift of all voices in the conference and kitchen spaces. This option does not have a direct volume or level adjustment, as it auto-gains itself to provide good levels.

(These buttons will toggle whether the handheld or ceiling microphone is being used for voice reinforcement)

  • "Mute All Volume": This button can be treated as an "emergency" speaker shutoff. When pressing this, all of the speakers in the kitchen and conference room will be muted. Once pressed, both volume buttons will be red to indicate they are in the muted state. To unmute, you can press and unmute individual rooms.
