  • SI-PASS (Supplemental Instruction – Peer Assisted Study Sessions)
    • Peer-led study groups for historically difficult or high-enrollment courses.
    • Sessions are guided by trained student leaders who have previously excelled in the course.
    • Focuses on collaboration, active learning, and building a deeper understanding of course content.
    • Typically offered multiple times a week before exams or major assignments.
  • Academic Coaching
    • One-on-one personalized support sessions to help you:
      • Improve time management
      • Set academic goals
      • Develop test-taking and note-taking strategies
      • Boost motivation and self-confidence
    • Available by appointment through VandalStar.
  • Tutoring
    • Free drop-in or scheduled tutoring across a wide range of subjects.
    • Offered by qualified peer tutors or professional staff.
    • Tutoring sessions may be held in-person or online depending on subject and availability.
    • Commonly supported areas: Math, Writing, Chemistry, Physics, and more.

  • Where to Access:
    •  The Academic Support Center is located in the ISUB (Idaho Student Union Building). Services may also be available via Zoom or other online platforms.
  • Booking Appointments:
    •  Use Vandal Star to schedule academic coaching or check tutoring availability.
    •  All currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students have free access to these services.
  • Special Programs:
    •  Some services may be tailored to specific student populations such as first-year students, TRIO participants, or student-athletes.
  • Recommended Use:
    •  Don’t wait until you’re struggling; students who use academic support proactively throughout the semester report better performance and satisfaction.
