If you have a Personal Microsoft Account, which matches your employee email address, you may have received this email message:
From: Microsoft account team (account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com)
Subject: Your single-use code
Hi jvandal@uidaho.edu,
We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.
Your single-use code is: 123456
If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.
Thanks,
The Microsoft account team
To verify you have a Personal Microsoft Account, open a browser private window and go to https://account.microsoft.com/. When you enter your @uidaho.edu email address you will see a message to select a "Work or school account" OR a "Personal Account".
If you see this message it means you have a Personal Microsoft Account.
To resolve this issue it is highly recommended you rename your Personal Microsoft Account from an @uidaho.edu address to a personal email address. The sign-in page will provide a link to "Rename your personal Microsoft account." or it can be accessed here: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkID=733247
