How to resolve the error "UDC Id not available" for VandalWeb?



When attempting to sign-in this error may be displayed:

com.ellucian.sso.exception.ApplicationException: UDC Id not available

The UDC ID is the unique ID number that is used for accessing VandalWeb and Banner. The UDC ID is populated in an Active Directory attribute for accounts marked as "personal" in the University of Idaho Account Tracking System. Non-personal accounts are explicitly blocked to avoid impersonating the account owner. Unfortunately, the error message is not something we can customize at this time.

If a user receives this error on sign-in they are using an account not marked as "personal".



Warning: if you recently created a new account, please wait at least 4 hours before attempting to sign-in.

If the problem persists, sign-out and verify a personal employee or student account is being used to sign-in. If this does not resolve the issue, select the "Request Assistance" option to submit a ticket and request having the account records updated to be marked as "personal".

Note: It may take a few hours for the AD attributes to sync across all services.
