Remote Assistance

ITS uses LogMeIn Rescue as our remote assistance client. This client is compatible with Windows and Mac computers as well as mobile devices. The instructions below will assist you in getting a remote assistance set up with ITS.

Windows users

Windows users will need to download the ITS Remote Assistance client, a small installation file that will allow your machine to use LogMeIn Rescue. You only need to download this file once. Please note that ITS can not access or create a remote session with your computer without your explicit permission. You can download the remote assistance tool here.

Once the tool is installed, you will need to enter the six-digit remote session ID, which will be provided to you by your technical support representative.

Mac users

Mac users will need to navigate to http://help.uidaho.edu/remote. On this page, you will need to enter the remote session ID, which will be provided to you by your technical support representative. After entering this ID, you will need to download the LogMeIn Rescue client-side client and run it.
