How many account/passwords do I have at the University of Idaho?
Every student at the University of Idaho has two sets of username/password combinations. They are as follows:
- Your VandalMail (also known as your Office 365) address and password. The full email address give to every student is of the form username@vandals.uidaho.edu and the password is one that is set by the student when they create their U of I account. This combination is used to access your student VandalMail through the Office 365 webpage at http://vandals.uidaho.edu.
- Your NetID username and password. This is the main username/password combination for all students. It gives students access to a wide range of services such as:
- BbLearn (formerly Blackboard)
- VandalWeb login
- Campus Kiosks
- Student lab computers
- Support Site
- Software downloads
- Password changes
- Any sensitive communication with ITS
- Wireless access
- Unix access
- VPN access
- Shared space or User drive off-campus access
New students
If you are a new student, you will need to visit the VandalSetup webpage to create your accounts and receive your password. For this, you will need your student ID number and other information found on your Letter of Acceptance. To begin the process of setting up your accounts, visit http://vandalsetup.uidaho.edu.
