  Finding the Ethernet MAC Address in Windows Vista   

 

1.  Click on the Windows Button and then type in cmd in the search dialogue box and press Enter. (See Figure 1)

2. In the box that opens type ipconfig/all and press Enter. (See Figure 2)

3.  You will need to scroll up or down until you find the information you need.  Look under the "Ethernet adapter Local..." for a wired connection.  Look for the "Physical Address" and this will be your MAC address. (See Figure 3).
